Las Calaveras de West Michigan are an alternate persona of the West Michigan Whitecaps, one of our “Grand Slam Brands.” It is part of MLB’s Copa de la Diversion (which translates to “fun cup”), a season-long event series specifically designed to embrace the culture and values that resonate most with our local Hispanic/Latino communities.
The Whitecaps played as las Calaveras for three games during each of the 2019, 2021 and 2022 seasons to celebrate the Latino/Hispanic culture and the influence it has had on America’s pastime. Las Calaveras will be returning on June 10, 2023; July 30, 2023 and September 8, 2023.
